Murrayshall Country Estate unveils exciting expansion with new luxury pod accommodation

Murrayshall Country Estate, the historic hotel, estate, and golf course nestled in the heart of Perthshire, today announces a transformative expansion that will allow it to welcome over 15,000 guests from across the world.

Capitalising on the glorious estate surrounding the hotel, Murrayshall Country Estate will be introducing 22 Armadilla pod-style cabins in early 2025, marking a new era of luxury and comfort for the resort as it doubles its room capacity.

The development comes as part of Murrayshall’s £30 million masterplan, a bold vision set to reshape the estate’s future, unlocking a potential investment of £169 million across Perth and Kinross and the creation of 400 job opportunities. 

Designed and engineered by Scottish firm, Armadilla, the new pods will offer a unique and eco-friendly sanctuary for guests seeking a countryside retreat. The custom-built units will blend seclusion with luxury, with select pods offering the added indulgence of super-king-sized beds and a private jacuzzi.

The state-of-the-art pods are now available to book for early 2025, with prices starting at £250 per night. Increasing Murrayshall’s accommodation capacity by 50%, these pods will cater to a diverse range of guests – offering one-bedroom options perfect for romantic getaways, as well as larger two-bedroom pods ideal for young families and friends looking for both relaxation and adventure in the heart of Scotland. 

With industry-leading eco credentials and advanced smart integrated technology, the newpods offer a sustainable expansion to the estate’s pristine natural surroundings.

Murrayshall Country Estate, a beautifully resorted family home, offers an unforgettable, four-star luxury getaway set in 365 acres of stunning Perthshire countryside. The hotel features 40 bedrooms, two restaurants – the award-winning Eolas Restaurant, recognised with two Red Rosettes, and the more relaxed Cairns Restaurant – along with two scenic parkland golf courses, a dedicated adventure pursuits pavilion and luxurious spa facilities. The new pods will arrive on site in 2025 to further elevate the resort.
